As a strong supporter of Orchid Systems products for Sage Accpac ERP, we are pleased to announce the newest 5.6 version features of Orchid's Process Scheduler, Info-Explorer, RMA, Inter-Entity Transactions, Information Manager, and Bin Tracking, which have already been released.
Process Scheduler - Version 5.6:
- New action of "Clear Data Integrity Logs" that enables the clearing down of old integrity logs. All logs will be cleared which are older than "x" days - which is entered on the action.
- New F9 zoom screen to facilitate quicker setup time
- New schedules report to enable Schedules to be printed
- Clear button on the Audit logs screen will only clear the filtered tasks
Info-Explorer - Version 5.6:
- Ability to export to HTML - and from there to email or print.
RMA - Version 5.6:
- Compatibility with the new IC Version 5.6 Serial and Lot Tracking
Inter-Entity Transactions - Version 5.6:

Were you recently at our Accpac Thanksgiving event and lucky enough to listen in on one of Rob Lavery's sessions? I was fortunate enough to hear him describe Orchid Systems' Process Scheduler and how it can help automate mundane processes. For example, instead of having to run data integrity checks at nights on weekends (unfortunately, the only time that others aren't in the system), you can run an automated schedule to run integrity checks for you instead by using Process Scheduler! Your Friday nights are yours again!

This past Thursday, November 19, Terrell & Terrell hosted its 10th annual client appreciation conference, Accpac Thanksgiving!
We kicked off the day with a great keynote speaker, Joe Rotella, who presented us with ways to use social media to boost the bottom line. Followed by lunch at Fogo de Chao , attendees were given the choice of 9 different breakout sessions including sessions about Sage FAS Fixed Assets, Orchid Systems, Pacific Technology, SageCRM, Accpac Tips and Tricks, and many more. During the closing session, great prizes were given away including gift cards to Fogo de Chao, a gift certificate to Music in Motion, and a free SageCRM LanPak! Congratulations to the winners!
Attendees were also able to receive 8 CPE credits for attending the entire day. Once again, we created a funny, yet informative, video that was first shown at Accpac Thanksgiving. Make bin tracking easy and efficient with ACCU-DART!
The old way:
Every time an item is picked for shipping or moved from one bin to another, the warehouse staff has to manually record which bin the item was taken from and where it will go. This information is then entered into the accounting system.
Because bin movements are not being recorded in real-time, errors are easily made and inventory is always out of date.
The ACCU-DART way:
When an item is picked for shipping or for any other bin movement, the warehouse staff can scan the items with ACCU-DART's radio-frequency scanners. ACCU-DART will prompt the user to enter the current bin they are taking the items from and the destination bin. ACCU-DART validates and, upon posting, automatically updates the accounting system in real-time.
For Sage Accpac ERP users, this functionality is available through integration with the bin tracking solution designed by Orchid Systems. This new 3rd party solution allows Sage Accpac ERP users to track inventory items stored in multiple bins within a warehouse or Inventory Control location.
