Not just for the giants – scaling RPA to the midmarket enterprise

Many business technology innovations get their start in large enterprises, and when proven effective, trickle down to smaller organizations. These two technologies were once the exclusive purview of the largest corporations and now have become commonplace among even the smallest start-ups. Yet another acronym, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), is the next business technology to have started large and is now finding a home among midmarket enterprises. How effectively does RPA technology scale to meet the automation needs of midmarket companies?

If it can be used by a human, it can be used by an RPA robot.

B2B FinTechs are looking at robotics process automation (RPA) to empower their finance executives by going beyond basic automation. Recently released software such as Gappify offers an RPA-powered bot to automate accounting processes. Unlike other types of automation, Gappify’s software does not need any intervention from a human being; not even to start the task. Another corporate accounting software firm, FloQast, also released its RPA solution called Cloud Connect. The solution helps companies seamlessly access data stored in on-premise ERP systems.
