Computer software should be regularly updated to stay current. The same is true for ERP systems...but why?

1) Software vendors, such as Sage, regularly send out fixes and patches for common problems. It is a good idea to keep up to date with these fixes to prevent potential problems from creeping up on you.

2) Staying up-to-date on your software should also a no-brainer if you are implementing software in stages. Without the latest software updates, you could be in line for a potential Stage 2 issue.

3) Why not? Software updates don't cost you anything except the loss of a future headache.
