Integration is Key for Many Medium Size Businesses

Austin Merritt of Accounting Software Advice blogged recently about the 5 trends he sees as a threat to generic accounting systems. He makes some good points in his post that we've also seen when speaking to companies.

One point is that executives don't want a standalone system anymore. Seasoned executives are realizing that integration provides transparency across multiple aspects of the enterprise. This falls right in line with our core belief. Integration is key. Many medium size businesses deal with very complex business processes, and they need a solution that can handle their needs. What they learn many times is that by automating processing they are able to grow their revenue, decrease processing time, and improve customer satisfaction.

Here is an example of an integration between Sage Accpac ERP and a supply chain management system that saved a multimillion dollar contract for a garbage truck parts supplier.
