Drilling Down from Crystal Reports in Sage ERP Accpac 6

Posted by Meredith Gooch on Mon, Jun 14, 2010

Sage ERP Accpac 6 brings the ability to drill down from data in a Crystal Report. This ability is only available in the new Web version and not from the VB version. Report designers have the ability to add hyper-links to reports, which will trigger a user interface form to be run when the link is clicked on. The Crystal Report can pass data to the UI form to enable drill down. This is going to be a great feature. Thanks Stephen Smith for the information. http://tinyurl.com/2fjqnrk

Can I Run Sage Applications on an iPad?

Posted by Meredith Gooch on Thu, May 13, 2010

Most Sage applications can already be run from an iPad. Many of the applications support running on Citrix, and there is an iPad client for Citrix that lets you access any application on your Citrix desktop from the iPad.

When Sage architected Accpac 6 to run in any Browser, the goal wasn’t so much being able to run in Firefox on Windows, it was more about extending the reach of where you can run Accpac screens, including PCs like Macs or Linux Netbooks, tablets like the iPad, or all the small cell phone based devices like the Apple iPhone and Google Android. Sage will be improving the usability in each new version, but for now rest assured that you will be able to switch from accounting to Angry Birds in no time at all!
