April 18, 2014 – DALLAS – B Terrell Group is pleased to announce that Intacct Corp. named them one of its first Premier Partners. To achieve this level of recognition from Intacct, B Terrell had to complete many stringent requirements. Can too much software customization be a bad thing?

Malcolm Gladwell’s books always make me think, and his excellent writing makes the thinking easy.  I’ve heard him criticized for tenuous and selective research.  However, doesn’t the way he raises the level of popular discussion and ultimate understanding of an issue go a long way to mitigate those concerns?  Regardless, Mr. Gladwell’s recent David and Goliath asserts that too much of a good thing, as represented graphically by the inverted u-curve, applies to areas we might not expect, such as smaller school class sizes, artistic marketplaces, and university choice, amongst others.  But, I wonder if the inverted u-curve also applies to software customization?

Can QuickBooks automate inter-company transactions?

In the last 4 weeks, I have visited with two prospects frustrated by QuickBooks' inability to manage multiple related companies.  Both prospects provide financial management services to ten or more related entities, and the relationship between entities leads to many inter company transactions.  Quickbooks complicates multi entity accounting engagements because it was just not designed to solve these types of accounting challenges.
